Unlike vertical packaging machines, which wrap items from the top down, horizontal packaging machines operate by wrapping products horizontally. This makes them ideal for longer, irregularly shaped items, such as rods and bricks. Most horizontal packaging machines employ a continuous film-wrapping method, during which a roll of packing film is unwound, shaped around the item, and sealed at the seams.
